Dear colleagues, this email is sent on behalf of Martina Vascotto at Elsevier who is keen to ask if any educator is interested in contributing to work with the editing team to adapt the Mosby nursing Skills for Australia and New Zealand. Details, including Martina's contact details (ph. 02 9422 8528) are below. Please contact Martina directly if you are interested.

We are currently seeking contributors to work closely with the editorial team to adapt the US Skills +  product for the local ANZ market. The Skills + platform will replace the existing Mosby’s Nursing Skills which you may already be aware of.

The primary target market is nursing professionals undertaking clinical education to update their skills within their hospital /health care organisation. The secondary market is University institution licenses for advanced skill training.

The plan is to start with localizing 33 UK skills this year and then 100 in 2016 and 150 in 2017, providing a total pack of 280 ANZ evidence-based skills and procedures in addition to the total 1800 US skills on the platform.

Each skill is presented as a module featuring a quick sheet, skill overview (in-depth description of the skills including rationales, important considerations and references),  equipment, demonstration video/ animations, self-test, competency check list and references.

In addition, the platform provides:

Functionality for customer customisable content and uploading of new skills

Performance management tools to track training and document knowledge for compliance reporting and accreditation

The integration of continuing professional development e-learning modules, policies and guidelines.

I will also be seeking reviewers at a later stage if anyone wanted to take part but can’t right now.

If anyone is interested or have any further questions, I’m more than happy to provide them with additional information.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards

Martina
