Hello all

e have had a few discussions about a name change and it clear members are interested. As per 2014 AGM and 2015 AGM discussion

Given this i am seeking your responses to the following questions :

 

1. Do you want to open the membership category to include midwives in the titles .... yes or no

 

2. please vote for the name you would like our organisation to be known as:

a. Australian Nursing and Midwifery Educators (ANME)

b. Australian Nursing and Midwifery Educators Society  (ANMES)

c. Nursing and Midwifery Education Society  (NaMES)

d. Australasian Society for Nursing and Midwifery Educators (ASNME)

e. Australasian Nurse Educators (ANE)

Yes include midwives in name

I have 2 preferences

NaMes and ANS. I probably prefer  Australiasian Nurse Educators as it seems  more inclusive element as it does include all nurse educators within the broader region, including midwifery. This may be of benefit to have a more "international" flavour to the group

I prefer Australasian Society for Nursing and Midwifery Educators (ASNME) as it acknowledges the Midwives which is important to them and provides us with the opportunity to be inclusive of NZ in the future,
