2012 NAGCAS CONFERENCE: 2nd – 5th December 2012

The conference offers exclusive entry to the post-secondary education sector, with access to key university, vocational education and training contacts - work with the people who advise tomorrow's workforce today.

Perth, Western Australia

Good afternoon

In December this year the five WA Universities are hosting the NAGCAS (Association representing Career staff in universities and vocation and education training institutions) Conference.

This is a national conference with representatives from Career Services from almost all AustralianUniversities and many vocation and education training institutions attending.

It is a great opportunity for employers who are looking for graduates that fit their needs to engage with staff in post-secondary education assisting students’ transition to employment.

We invite employers to attend for the whole conference but would also like to highlight that Day 2 has been framed so that concurrent sessions will involve mixed groups of employers, tertiary staff and students. Each of these sessions will involve an information session followed by a workshop. Sessions will be co-chaired by NAGCAS members and employers. Topics for these concurrent sessions have been nominated by employers. They are dynamic and there is room to include additional topics if there is an area you believe has not been addressed. The emphasis is on learning from each other. As networking between both groups is considered beneficial the Conference Dinner is included in Tuesday's day rate.

Action we would like you to take

- check out the conference website:   www.nagcasconference.org.au

- REGISTER: For day or full conference attendance (Tuesday, Day 2, includes attendance at the Conference dinner)

- Consider volunteering to co-chair one of Tuesdays concurrent sessions

You may also like to consider being one of the Conference sponsors.  A great way to raise your profile with graduates across Australia. (Please contact Julie Howell j.howell@curtin.edu.au if you would like to discuss options  and  work more closely with the people who advise tomorrow's workforce today)
